The Brandt & Kriste Family: Disneyland

This is a continuation from my last post. After spending the New Year in St.George we packed our bags getting ready to head to Cali. We woke up that Monday morning with our car packed from the night before only to find me at or on the toilet. Lucky me had the flu. We were trying to decide whether we should make the trek or bag it. After a break from the bathroom of 45 min. Brandt asked if we should just try the drive and take as many brakes as needed. Brandt gave me a blessing and we got in the car with my throw-up bowl and headed South. Before getting on the freeway we stopped to get gas and Mayci asked, "Are we to Disneyland?" Oh boy this is going to be a long drive. Heavenly Father for sure helped us out. I made it the whole way without having to use my bowl. The kids were awesome and the drive was surprisingly not bad.

We woke up that Tuesday morning and headed to Disneyland whre Goofy met us right inside the gates. The sun was shining and the crowds weren't so bad. We were lucky to get 75 degree weather. It was beautiful!!!!!!!!!

First ride of the day. DUMBO! Mayci said this was her favorite ride. Oh and her other favorite ride was Splash Mountain. Although I asked her if she wanted to go on it again and she declined.

TOON TOWN! The kids loved exploring the characters houses. We were in line in Micky's house and Mayci decided to wander off. I could not find her and was scared to death. It took us like 5 minutes to find her but felt like forever. So Micky's house is no longer one of my favorite houses to visit. They loved the roller coaster in Toon Town. That was Preslie's favorite ride.

Disney now has Pixie Hollow where they can meet Tinkerbell and her friends. They had fun meeting Tinkerbell. They told her that they loved to dance. Tinkerbell asked them to teach her some dance moves. The girls had fun dancing with her.

We were so lucky to be at Disneyland two of the days with our cousins. Bric and Heidi made last minute plans to go to Disney as we did. We literally found out we were going the same time just like a week before we left. CRAZY! The kids had so much fun seeing them and riding a few rides with them. Notice the Christmas tree. By the end of our third day all the Christmas stuff was down except for "It's a Small World." It's amazing what they can do during the night to be ready for the park to be open in the morning.

The girls waiting and waiting and waiting........to see the princesses. This was the longest wait. We waited about an hour and half. We heard in the summer people wait 3 hours to see them.

We were able to see Belle, Ariel, Malan and Jazmin.

We had a ton of fun at California Adventure. All the rides in Bugs World were a lot of fun for the kids and we loved the new ride Monsters Inc. It was AWESOME!! Beckem was such a trooper for having NO naps for three days. He did have himself a little breakdown waiting in line for Monsters inc. Other than that he did great. He especially loved eating Ice Cream. I think that was his high light of the trip.
