Cousin Camp

We had a fun filled week this last week. Bric and Heidi celebrated their 10 year anniversary in Vegas. Preslie and Maci were so excited to have their cousins come and stay with us. We made crafts, went to the Dinosaur park, had water day, Princess Tea party with the girls, went to the drive inn and saw Kung Fu Panda, and went swimming at Grandma and Grandpas. The cousins love being around each other and had so much fun! Cousin Camp Rules!

Cancer Free!

The biopsy is back and they were able to get all of the melanoma. YEAH!!! Thank you everybody for being concerned and for your prayers and fasting. The surgery went well and Brandt is doing good. Didn't seem to phase him to much. He has 49 stitches and is not suppose to be lifting anything over 15 lbs for 2 weeks. Well we all know our Maci is well over 15 lbs and for some reason she keeps on ending up in his arms. He is a sucker for her. Now for the saran wrap that is around him that is simply for his haircut that he is about to get. His sister was in town and he was in need of a hair cut. We didn't want to get his hair in his wound. We had fun wrapping him up. Brandt, you are a good sport and we love you and are happy to say that you are cancer free!!!!

Super Star

Preslie had her Spring Recital at Syracuse High School on Saturday. I must say, she did great! She performed two dances. A ballet number to "Beautiful Morning" and a jazz routine to "Locomotion." This was her first year of dance. She takes from Rhythm Works Dance Studio in Syracuse. She has really enjoyed it and has learned so much. She said she is a "Super Star." It made her night to see her Grandparents and her Aunt Robyn and Uncle Chandler there watching her. She is quite the performer. Good Job Preslie (aka superstar.)

THE GARDEN

This is our fun garden. I am sure you have all heard me talking about it. I am very proud of this garden. Brandt worked so hard on getting this together for us. He had to rip out the grass, make the three boxes, bring in lots of dirt, stones, bark, and curbing. (Not to mention he got a fracture in his wrist from all of this hard labor.)The girls and I did all the planting and we have had so much fun watering it and watching it grow. We have a tomato on the vine which is getting bigger every day. Our beans are looking good, peppers, zucchini, cucumber, watermelon, small pumpkins, and carrots. We have had to say goodbye to our cantaloupe. She didn't quit make it. If you are interested we have tours every night from 6-8. J/K.

FATHER DAUGHTER CAMP OUT

Brandt, Preslie and Maci joined the other fathers and daughters at a stake camp out, at Camp Woodland. They were lucky to have their Grandpa Miles join them with his new trailer. They cooked hot dogs, roasted marshmallows and tried to stay warm. Unfortunately the weather was very cold and rained all night long. Preslie enjoyed playing with all the other girls up there especially her good friend Alysa. We learned that Preslie is very fascinated with the fire. Brandt had to keep close watch on her because she loved putting everything in the fire. She told me her favorite thing up there was "roasting sticks." As you can see in the picture she has one of her roasting sticks. Maci thought she was pretty cool being up there with all older girls. She was the youngest girl there. We were not planning on letting her go because we felt she was a little young. When it came time for Preslie and Brandt to leave, Maci layed it on thick. She was grabbing her pillow, shoes , suitcase and giving Brandt that puppy dog face begging to go with them. Of course, Brandt gave in and said that he couldn't leave her behind. We scrambled real quick to get her ready for the camp out as well. They had a great time. Brandt sure enjoyed spending time with his girls and his father. I missed them and was excited to have them home.

Sunny St. George with the Call Family

We spent the weekend in St. George with the Call family. We had a great time! The weather was awesome. The kids spent most of the time in the water to keep cool. We spent a day at Sand Hollow, boating. Between every ski run, surf run, and tubing run the kids were jumping off the boat to play in the water. Maci was able to go on her first tube ride. She enjoyed riding with her favorite person Marla. I was a little jealous I have to admit. The following day the kids enjoyed splashing around at the new splash park in St. George and swimming at the swimming pool near our home. Marla and I did a little shopping while Adam and Brandt played some golf and tennis. Another fun filled weekend in St. George!
