Beckem had his second birthday. We had a lot of fun with it. We were going to have a sports theme birthday party because Beckem is obsessed with BALLS. "Ball" was one of his very first words. Because of Beckems new haircut and after rummaging through the costumes at Walmart we decided to have an ARMY birthday party! Beckem was our little soldier. Brandt was our Commander. Preslie helped us out with ROLL CALL. Katie made for sure that the kids were ready for battle with their camouflage faces. Boot Camp was ready to begin. Our guests were on a mission. They started off with a little target practice. Grandpa swept us all, shooting the most army men with elastic bands. After target practice they had to practice jumping out of an airplanes and landing in a certain spot hoping that their parachutes would open. Then they were sent to an obstacle course that was timed and no mistakes were allowed. Beckem did really good at running his obstacle course. He loved it! After, we herd the enemy out front and quickly had to go fight them. Army men were everywhere and the kids had to collect them all. I have to say we won the BATTLE. We later opened presents and served chocolate doughnuts with mint chocolate chip ice cream. We always have so much fun celebrating birthday parties. Beckem, we hope you enjoyed your party. You were so cute acting like a little soldier. When we would say atten hut. You would quickly slap your legs with a big ol' smile. We love you so much. You can make anyone smile with that cute smile of yours. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKEM!

Mayci can ride a bike

Mayci is officially riding her bike with no training wheels. YAY!! Trace learned how to ride with no training wheels so Mayci asked Des to teach her. Des worked with her for a little bit as well as myself and Brandt. She didn't seem that interested. One night after Brandt was done working with some of the young men with basketball he grabbed Maycis bike and told her to get on and ride. She did just that. It clicked for her and she was off. Back and forth riding up and down the sidewalk like she had been doing it for months. She was proud and excited. Preslie and I were cheering for her so loud that we probably woke up the neighbors. I think that is why Mayci was so willing to jump on her bike because it was late. It was either bike or bed. She chose bike and we are glad that she did.

Big Day

Today Mayci started her new dance class with Ms. Diane. She loved it and did so well. I was so proud of her. She listened very closely to the instructions and did her technique awesome. Mayci is a good little dancer. She can sure feel that beat!! SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!! One of her favorite things to say and do. Mayci also started her first day of Pre School with Ms. Tonya at Red Apple Pre School. She was so excited to go and can't wait to learn how to read. I sure love this girl she always makes us laugh and her smile brings so much JOY in our home.

Belmont Springs

We spent the night at Belmont Spring with Grandma and Grandpa Miles. They took their trailer and 4-wheeler up for a fun camping experience. Grandma and Grandpa were so kind to feed us, make us a fire and even let us bring our dog. Being new dog owners we forget that trying to get away over night can be a little tricky. It all worked out though. The kids had a great time swimming in the natural springs that were so warm. They loved the 4 wheeler and just being able to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. They think it is pretty cool sleeping in the trailer. Thanks Robb and Susan for a fun night!
