It's a Lemonade Stand

Preslie and Mayci decided they wanted to sell some lemonade and cookies. I agreed to it, and we started baking cookies and mixing up the lemonade. I asked the girls how much they wanted to sell them for and Preslie answered, "one cent." I talked them into at least 10 cents. We sold out of cookies and lemonade so fast. The kids were all walking home form school and decided to make a stop at our corner. It was a success. Our neighbor asked Mayci what she was going to buy with the money that she had earned and she quickly answered, "a sucker, a Popsicle, and candy." Does that sound like Mayci or what?

Soocer comes to an end

The soccer season has come to an end. Preslie did a great job. She loved making new friends and scoring goals. We asked her if she wanted to play again next year and she answered very nicely, "no thanks!" So when I say soccer has come to an end it means it has really come to an end. It was fun watching her learn the game, playing it, and cheering for her!

Lil Graduate

Preslie graduated from Red Apple Pre-School. We are so proud of her. Preslie has grown so much this year. She loves school and loves to learn. She has started reading and draws and writes very well. Not only did Preslie love going to school to learn but to be with her friends. Carpool to and from school was very entertaining. Max, Porter, Alysa and Preslie would discuss their weekends and what they did. They would always be arranging who was going to who's house after school. They are all so cute and had fun together at school.

Somewhere over the Rainbow....

is Mayci's Birthday Party!! Mayci turned 3!!! This Rainbow themed birthday party has been talked about by Mayci since October, after Preslie had her Birthday party. Mayci mentioned that she wanted a birthday with ALLL the Colors! She would get out of her bed at night to come and discuss with Brandt and I her rainbow birthday and name all the colors that would be at this party. This went on for months. It finally arrived and her Rainbow party was a success. We first celebrated with the Miles family and the kids made rainbow necklaces out of Frootloops. They all wore their favorite rainbow color shirt. We had a rainbow toss where the kids threw the bing bags into a color of the rainbow that I had mad out of yarn. We played Candy Land where we were the characters of the game and walked along the rectangular different colors trying to make it the rainbow. We ate colorful cupcakes and had rainbow floats (a favorite of ours.) Mayci had a wonderful time!!!

We later had a birthday party with her neighborhood friends. We played all the same games and enjoyed all the kids.

Sammy, Lucy, Carson, Mayci, Sydney, Trace, and Markessa
*(forgot the camera) The following week we celebrated Mayci's birthday at Grandma and Grandpa Susaetas. We celebrated it with her cousins and played some rainbow games and had a pizza party! Mayci enjoyed all the attention and had a wonderful week of birthday party's!

Famous Brandt....

You may not be a famous movie star, but you are the most famous 30 year old husband, father, son, brother, brother-in -law, uncle, and friend that we know!! SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!! We surprised Brandt for his 30th birthday at "Famous" Dave's Restaurant. Yes he was very surprised and had no idea it was coming. They rolled out the red carpet for him and were taking pictures like the paparazzi. Everyone cheered and were so excited to greet him on his spacial day. Brandt was a little embarrassed. Everyone at the table had a turn to say what they thought Brandt was famous for. There were a lot of nice things said about my 30 year old husband. One that was mentioned a few times was Brandt's willingness to give and help others. I love that about him and love that he is famous for that. Later he placed his hand in the star cake that a good friend (Marla Call) made for him. After a lot of laughs and full stomachs we headed to Spare Time in Syracuse and played a little Lazar Tag with the fam. Team's were divided up into 30 year old and older on one team and under the 30 on the other. The youngsters took it to us. LAME! It was a fun night and definitely a night to remember.
