Pool Injury

Our little Preslie has turned in to quite the little fish this summer. We spent the last few days down in the St. George heat. It was hot!!! So to keep cool we spent most of the time at the pool. Preslie has gotten very confident in her swimming abilities and loves to try new things while swimming. Well, her acrobatic dad was showing her how to do handstands in the water. As she was trying her hand stand her legs flipped her over into he concrete stairs and her chin scraped the stairs while trying to come up out of the water. Her chin split right open. It was a good thing that Dr. Dad was right on it. He grew up on these little butterfly band aids. He had them used on him a time or two or three. He ran to the store and cleaned Preslie up in no time. I have to say he did a great job and it is healing nicely.

MEMORIES

I got this from my friends blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Visiting Idaho

If you are planning on seeing Batman anytime soon don't drink anything before attending this movie. Let's just say 3 hours is way to long for a pregnant women with a small bladder to sit that long. After 2 hours of crossing my legs, secretly praying and hoping that the credits would start rolling anytime they never did. This movie was way to intense and LONG for me. We saw it at a IMax Theatre which stands 5 stories tall and actually made me a little dizzy. I am sorry all of you Batman lovers, I just didn't love it. I was a little freaked out and ended up having a scary dream that night. Would I see it again? Mmm maybe, only in the comfort of my own home. Other than my scary dream we had a fabulous time in Idaho visiting Brandts sister Heidi and her cute family. We always have such a great time with them. The cousins love to be with each other and play. We took the kids to a really cute glow in the dark miniature golf course, they went swimming in their pool, and played hard. Thank you Heidi and Bric for letting us come and visit. We look forward to it every year!

"I Wear Pony Panties"

Has your child ever done something that makes your face get a little red? Well mine has. Yesterday we were getting ready to leave from church. I don't know if your halls are all as crowded as ours but our halls are always packed. Sometimes making it a little hard to get out of there. I had picked Preslies up from her class and snagged Mayci from the nursery. The two of them were holding hands and heading down the hall. Dad is usually right around the corner so we pick him up and exit the East doors to find our car. The girls were a little ways in front of me granite they are so small they can get through people a little quicker than I. Preslie and Mayci rounded the corner and I hear this not so quite voice yelling, "I wear Pony panties! I wear Pony panties!" I turn the corner and Mayci has her dress over her head turning in circles showing off her Pony Panties. The crowd all backed up to make room for this performance. Everyone laughing encouraging her to keep going. I have to say it was pretty funny, a little face warming though. I am sure with Mayci we will have a lot more red faces in the future.
p.s. update on potty training: Awesome! Has not had an accident since our first day of potty training. Dry through naps and the night time. So proud!!!!!

Preslie's homework

Preslie loves and asks everyday if she can do homework. I was at All A Dollar and found some cute little homework books, some a little more advanced. Preslie has one more year of pre-school so I have been getting her pre-K homework books. I snagged a few K books simply because they had princess characters on them. Preslie can not put them down. This particular book is all about mathematics. She is loving learning addition. We have been very impressed with her and her love to learn.

Dance Family Reunion

Saturday we were able to go and spend the day with the Dance family. Brandts mom Susan is a Dance. Susan and her sisters spent a lot of time preparing for this big event. They did a great job! We started off with some breakfast and of course some singing. They are blessed with beautiful voices. Brandt and I are pretty much the outcast when it comes to singing time. They had lots of games planned for the adults and the kids. We made some hygiene kits, ate lunch, played some water games to cool down and had some dinner. I was able to meet some of Brandts cousins that I had never met before. Brant was able to get to know and see all of his cousins kids as well. It was fun seeing everybody!

Maci (spelling) no longer!

I have noticed a few comments wondering about the spelling of Mayci's name. It is official I did change it to MAYCI. Most of you all know that right after I had her I had wished that I spelled it with a Y. I went back and forth wondering what I should do. She was born in May so I liked the idea of it with a Y. After two years of still thinking about it, Brandt and I decided to make the change. The good that will come out of this is when she is older and she plays those games that you have to say something that no one knows about you she can say I was a Maci for two years and now I am Mayci. O.K. I know I am stretching this a little bit. Hopefully we will all be happy about this change. I think I am going crazy. I will let you know if I decide to change Preslies name. Not! If we end up naming our little guy Beckham I promise I won't consider OctoberBeckham or SeptemberBeckam. Get it? Actually that may be a whole new blog entry. I need to figure out his name and spelling as well. We will talk about that later. For now we are Brandt, Kriste, Preslie and Mayci Miles!

The 4th of July Weekend

We had an exciting weekend. We started the weekend off early by having a BBQ at Devin and Kristi's on Thursday. Thank you guys it was a lot of fun and your yard looks awesome! The girls had a blast with all of the kids. Friday we headed up to Grandpa and Grandma Miles and had some lunch and went swimming. Unfortunately no pictures. I wish I had pictures of the chicken fights. They are always the high light of the pool parties. Devin and Katie have been undefeated the last while. This pool party Aaron and Brita were able to take them down. Still Devin and Katie definitely holds the record. After a day at the pool we headed to Bear Lake and hung out with my fam. My whole family was there with my grandparents. We watched some fireworks, played some Koob, played on the beach, Brandt played some golf with my 85 yr old grandpa who can still shoot a 41. We saw fireflies and cute Preslie was so excited that she saw Tinkerbell. The 4Th of July is always a fun holiday. There is nothing better than spending it with your family!

POTTY DAY!

Well it is official, no more diapers!!! YEAH!!!! We decided it was time to pull out the Potty Training in a Day book. I read up and began training this morning at 9:00 A.M. Maci is doing well so far. She started off strong able to go two times in the potty and then had two accidents. She felt really bad and said, "No more peepy in panties ever again." She has since gone three more times in the potty. She is taking a nap right now so I thought I would post while I have two seconds. Brandt took Preslie to work with him and then up to Grandma and Grandpas to go swimming. Maci and I are able to stay home and talk potty talk all day long! We have had a fun time together. This little girl can really make you laugh. Good job Maci, you are doing awesome at being a big girl!

Bear Lake Photos

I decided I wanted to try to be a photographer for the day. It is tougher than you think. Trying to get to the beach at the right time before the sun goes down was quite difficult. The girls were good letting me experiment a little. I am happy how the pictures turned out. I am lucky to have two little girls who love each other so much. SISTERS FOREVER!!

Park city baby!

Brandt and I were able to sneak away for the night without kids (thank you mom and dad.) We had a great time! We were able to shop, eat, shop, eat and eat again. Considering I'm pregnant and Brandt just had his surgery we were pretty limited on the activities that we were able to do. We found a little romantic chair lift that took us to the top of the mountain and back down. It was really pretty. We were able to look over all of Park City and see some deer as well. We had a nice dinner at the River Hoarse and walked hand in hand down main street. It was wonderful. The following morning we were able to catch a nice brunch at Zooms and finished up a little shopping and then headed home. I love spending time with my sweet husband. We sure have a lot of fun together!

TIMMY!

We love Timmy! My girlfriends and I were able to sneak out on Friday night and listen to the one and only Tim McGraw. We had a blast. We started out with a little dinner and lots of dessert from chilies. We headed over to the Usana Amphitheater and was able to park in VIP thanks to Jesse, Kristens husband a West Valley police officer. We marked our spot on the lawn and waited patiently for good ol' Tim to come out. We danced, sang and was simply entertained by all those around us. The night was coming to an end when we spotted the best or sickest entertainment of the night. This older couple was really enjoying the concert and each other. Yes, sweet Kristen was able to get a photo of them. This photo is actually very G rated. They were much worse than this. Sick! Sick! sick! The best part was when the song was over they shook hands and said nice to meet you. We couldn't believe it. This night definitely needed to be blogged. Thanks Kristen for the pics!
