Cowabunga Bay

We got to spend the day with Aunt Monica and Abbi at Cowabunga Bay. This was our first time there. The kids had fun. We could have done without the wind though. BURRRR. If you have been there you know all about the water splashing on you continuously. Water +wind = Burrrr! I like to explain Cowabunga Bay as Water Chaos, but fun.

COUSIN CAMP 2010

Seriously!! My cute sister-in-law Heidi holds cousin camp at her house every year in Boise Idaho. My kids can hardly wait for it every year. In fact I asked Mayci one night where her favorite place to visit was and she quickly answered, "COUSIN CAMP!" This years theme was "Christmas in July." Bric and Heidi had there house decorated like it was Christmas. They had made an igloo fort for the kids to paint and hang out in. They loved it! They watched Christmas movies, made Christmas crafts, ate Christmas food (the elf food was my kids favorite,) and even got Christmas Presents. They had such a great time being with their cousins and enjoyed having Christmas in July! Thanks Heidi and Bric for being so wonderful! While the kids were being so wonderfully entertained Brandt and I got to go and do our own thing in Boise. We spent the day golfing with Aaron and Brita and caught up with Chandler, Robyn, Katie and Devin for some fun shopping and dinner. We had a great time, especially entertaining The Cheesecake Factory workers. The following day Brandt and I got some fantastic messages and then headed off to the water park with everyone. It is always fun when you can be a kid again. COUSIN CAMP ROCKS!

I want to be like my daddy...

We all know that Beckem is a mama's boy. However, he always seems to want to do anything his dad is doing. I thought this was so cute. He followed his dad all around mowing the lawn. If he takes after his dad when it comes to yard work he will have one happy wife. Brandt is always taking such GREAT care of our yard. He does such a nice job.

HOT DAD!

Happy Fathers Day to our HOT DAD! Most of you know that we like to have themes around here. So our Fathers Day theme was "HOT DAD." I am usually always getting after Brandt to apply sun screen due to his scare with Melanoma Cancer. So we bought him some special sunscreen that was recommended by his Dermatologist. This sunscreen is where the theme originated from. The girls and I had a schedule all written out for our hot dad. Brandt was scheduled for a relaxing morning in the HOT tub while we got ready for church. He was served HOT cinnamon rolls for Breakfast. When we got home from church we made him HOT dogs from the grill. We gave him his presents, sun glasses to shade his eyes from the HOT sun, Hot Tamales, a HOT wheels car from Beckem, Squirt gun from Mayci so she could squirt him when he gets hot. Preslie found this yellow bird that she new he would love, since he loves to watch the birds eat off our bird feeders in the hot sun. Wow!! They were very creative in finding their gifts. We had so much fun getting them for him. The day went on with many other hot activities and ended with HOT mashed potatoes and Pork chops, Brandts favorite meal. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful dad in our lives and hot at that. We love you Brandt!

Silly Glasses

For some reason Mayci always seems to be wearing these silly glasses. She will be dressed up in a beautiful princess gown, wearing high heels, holding a purse and wearing these silly glasses. I asked her why she is always wearing them and she said that they make her see better. Hmmm. It all makes sense now. Her cousin Harlee just got glasses and she has been asking me so many questions about why Harlee has to wear glasses. Now I know why she wears these silly glasses. Cute little thing!

Memorial Day Weekend in St. George

We spent Memorial Day weekend in St. George. The Alvords joined us this year at our home. The Hansens, Davis', Markers,Sandalls and Hartleys were all in St. George this weekend as well. Des, Shelly, Maria and I ran the midnight 5K this year. We had a great time especially fighting the crazy winds. We spent lots of time at the pool and went on a hike behind the Davis' house where we found a turtle. It was so cool. The kids loved it. Beckem had a great time running around our backyard naked. He also was so into walking the curb at the pool. Who knows maybe he will be into walking the tight rope when he gets older. Ha Ha. We had a great time in St. George like we always do.
