Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we have had a little family tradition for the past 4 years. We all get new pajamas to wear on Christmas eve. We make a HUGE breakfast for dinner. We make albverskiers (Christmas balls is what we like to call them.) We open gifts that we got for eachother. Make cookies for santa, spread reindeer dust/food outside for the reindeers to eat and get on mom and dads bed to read the Christmas story and this giant story book Twas the night before Christmas. This is such a fun night for our family.
The SNOW GLOBES! Brandt and I gave the girls their own snow globes. They were so excited to decorate their room this year for Christmas. They were able to use the decorations that I was not using this year for their room. They got very creative and made their room look very festive. We picked out a Tinkerbell snowglobe for Mayci and a princess snow globe for Preslie that plays Christmas music. I was surprised that they actually thought these were the greatest gifts ever. As we were bringing our Christmas party to an end, the girls wanted to take their globes up to their room. Mayci had just passed threw the kitchen and was on her way down the hall and ooops, she dropped it on the tile floor. Glass, water, and sparkles everywhere! After getting Mayci to calm down and stop crying we cleaned up the mess and the sweet sister that Preslie is offered to share her globe with her. The moral of the story is don't let a 2 year old carry a glass snowglobe across a hard surface. We felt so bad.
The girls were so excited to give Beckem his first Christmas present.

I am dying over here because Trace won a snow globe at a birthday party and it was his favorite little treasure. Well, Everett did exactly what Mayci did and Trace was heartbroken.
BTW, I love the idea of having a huge breakfast on Christmas Eve rather than on Christmas morning. I would much rather sleep in.
