Husband of the Year Award

All I can say is Thank You Brandt!!!! When the Dr. told me that this baby was trying to come early and to take it easy, I began to panic. We had nothing!!! Nothing blue was in our house yet. We didn't have diapers, clothes, or even a room ready for him. In one weekend we threw it together. It was an interesting weekend to say the least. I sent Brandt to the paint store with Beckems bedding and asked for them to match the blue and brown. Well, the blue looked good and the brown ahhh not so good. I thought it had a little green to it. Brandt had already sanded and primed the changing table and crib and began painting the crib when I mentioned it looked a little green. He didn't see it at the time. He continued painting when a neighbor girl came over and said, "What a cool brown green color." Brandt looked at me very disappointed. He stopped that project and began taping and painting the wall inside. Close to 1:00 in the morning he began wrapping things up and decided first thing in the morning we would go and find a different color of brown. We were satisfied with this brown and Brandt finished up. Brandt was in the framing business for many years and I knew that he would be able to make theses stripes perfectly straight. Which he did! He had never painted before and wanted to hire it out. I told him I had 100% confidence in him and that he would do a great job. The finished product looks great. Our son will be so proud of his daddy for painting his room as I am. Nice work honey!
So here is his room. There are still a few items that I need to add. Those are going to have to come later. It is fun having a boys room in our home. We are so excited!!

TA DA! It feels great to have it done!!

Nice work. You know, I'm looking to decorate my girls room now that they are sharing. Is Brandt for hire? I can't believe Beckem is almost here. Good luck with the coming week or so and take it easy!
