Gotta love Lake Powell! Brandt and I were able to go to Lake Powell this year. We have a few friends that have a time share for a week in Lake Powell towards the end of September every year. We went a couple of years ago with them and had a blast but were unable to go last year due to having a child. So this year we were available and my brother Craig, Monica and Abbi spent the weekend tending our kiddos and then Brandt's cousin Ashley her husband Dirk and little boy Cohen spent the rest of the week watching them. We are so thankful for wonderful family who can help us out. The kids did great and had a good time while their mom and dad got some time alone. YEAH!!!

The girlies. Their were 7 couples this year. The Calls, Darts, Davis',Olsens, Hemulas, Painters, and us. It was a fun group.

This was a fun day. All 14 of us loaded up on the boat including Painters new addition Gus (3 wks old) and had a wake boarding trip. Everyone showed off their awesome tricks, enjoyed the sun and jammed to some great tunes!

Aren't they so cute.

This was the house boat we stayed on and our boat. We had two other boats as well there. A ski boat for the ski course and another wake boarding boat.

We had some serious volleyball games going on. Our team won the championship game. That's why we are holding the #1 sign up.

The tradition for the girls is to buy matching shirts from the store at the marina. There was not enough for all of us to have black so that is why Kara is in a white one.

We had some fun tube rides and some fun choreographed dances that were performed while riding on the tube.
The trip was a success. We had great food, great conversation, great laughs, great ski runs, and great weather for the most part. The first5 days, the weather was beautiful. The day before we left the temperature dropped and the wind blew all day long. We are talking 75 mph winds. It was crazy. The next morning the winds had calmed down but the weather was still quite cold. We packed up and headed home. We had a fabulous time.

I thought you looked like an awfully tan pirate for October.
